Memorial Day…the start to summer on the island has begun. Things have picked up, there is traffic and time spent looking for parking and waiting in lines. Summer is here. Now bring on the beach days and fishing!

Our major renovation project is finishing up. Everything is on schedule. The painter should be complete by this weekend. The tile sub contractor completed the tile in the showers. The electrician and plumber have their final inspections called in. Move in day is around the corner for the owners!!

In Vineyard Haven at the Mayflower Lane project the drywall sub is near the end of the project. The finish carpenter has begun installing trim on the interior of the home. Things are looking good over there!

The certificate of occupancy for the Barnes Road project should be completed by next week. Finishing touches are happening there as I type this.

The sun finally decided to grace us with its presence, thankfully finally feeling like spring and not winter around here. Flowers are blooming and grass is turning green. Traffic is picking up all signs of summer is near on the island!

Checking in on our Vineyard Haven project – the drywall team is working hard on the main living room area at the moment. They have about another weeks worth of work to be completed at the home.

In Oak Bluffs on the Harbor at our major renovation project the home is nearing completion. The landscaping is underway, the painters are working on painting the entire house. The plumbers and electricians are working on their final inspections. The tile has been completed in all the bathrooms. It is coming along really nice and we cannot wait to see the finished product in the next few weeks and the happy owners will be moving in soon!

At the Barnes Road project we continue to work on punch list items . The final inspections are called in or in progress. Final photos to come soon.

Mother’s Day weekend, Pink and Green weekend in Edgartown, Chili Fest in Oak Bluffs lots of happenings around the island this weekend. We push on like the Bruins to the next round. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there 🙂

Finishing up at the Barnes Road project the punch list is under way. The owners have their painters in painting the home as we speak. Final photos to come soon.

The major renovation project on East Chop is bustling with contractors. The tile people are finishing up . The painters are working on the trim and doors. The landscape plans have been approved and the front walk way is in the process of being laid. Finish carpentry has begun. Fireplace waiting for the mantel to arrive. Check out the progress photos.

In Vineyard Haven on Mayflower Lane the tin roof is being installed on the front porch. The insulators have finished. Sheet rock contractor will be coming in next week.

We are all a little tired today after watching the Bruins playoff game last night! Let’s go B’s!! As you know everyone is working hard to complete jobs before Memorial Day and the next round of projects start. Here is our weekly progress report….

My own renovation project is also 99% complete. The new appliances are going in today. All new lighting has been installed. Fresh paint throughout, new windows and interior doors and trim, and cleaner scheduled for tomorrow…time to move back in! Our next project will be the deck and outdoor shower and siding and trim….stay tuned.

On East Chop in Oak Bluffs at our major renovation project the flooring is in progress. The tile is going down, the hardwood floors are being laid. Bathroom cabinets are in. New water line was installed. See the photos below:

At the Mayflower Lane home in Vineyard Haven the fireplace was delivered and installed this week. The insulation has begun.

At the Barnes Road project that is wrapping up the counter-tops are in and the back splash and appliances. The owners painters will be going in soon. Final punch list is underway.

All of our caretaking clients have had their outside water turned on and their patio furniture put out. The minor repair lists the owners have for us are in progress.

The island is starting to pick up, I noticed traffic the last few days…the summer season will be here before we know it. Keep up the hard work everyone and check back next week for more updates!
