Squash Meadow hopes everyone has a happy and safe New Year!  We hope 2021 brings health and happiness!

New Year brings new projects!

Come January 14th the new home will be set at Puritan Drive. The foundation is ready to go!

The next lot on Simpson Ave. is in progress the forums are in.  Once inspected they will pour the concrete. 

Our Main Street job in Vineyard Haven is nearing completion. The appliances are in,  the furniture is being delivered next week.  Final inspections are in progress.

Last night we had few inches of snow followed by rain and high winds. It is not pleasant out there folks!  The contractors and subs are busy doing inside work today.

Here is a quick glimpse of what is happening here at Squash Meadow….

In Vineyard Haven we are doing a renovation opening up some dormers.

The Vineyard Montessori new school building has drywall going up. Heating and cooling system is being installed. Flooring will be installed soon.

At the water front home on Main Street in Vineyard haven the electricians are installing light fixtures in the bathrooms and throughout the home.  The plumber installed the faucets and shower heads.  Appliances were delivered.  Painting is complete. Furniture will be coming soon!

At my own house we are starting to demo the floor add new Sawyer Mason wide plank flooring. A new kitchen, 6 windows and two new doors.  The master bath will get remodeled with a new walk in tiled shower, tiled floor and new vanity.  The exterior will have new shingles and trim.  It is fun being able to pick out items our clients use and put them in your own home!

We hope everyone has a safe and health holiday season!  See you in 2021! We will have a new modular set coming January, February, March and April. Looks like we will be busy!

The holiday season is upon is and the New Year is only 31 days away.  We are hoping in 2021 that the Corona Virus pandemic comes to an end and we are all able to see our family and friends and travel again.  The virus has been more active on the island the last few weeks causing the rules to change on the job sites. With that being said our crew is still focusing on completing the current projects before the next round rolls in.

It is more of a challenge these days to get permits and projects in the works with COVID which can set completion dates back but we are doing the best we can.

Here’s an update on a few of the homes:

In Oak Bluffs we have two new modulars to be set one in January  on Puritan Avenue and the other in February on Simpson Ave.  Site work has started on those projects.  The modular set on Simpson Ave.  will have the current home demoed in the up-coming weeks. Below are photos of the Puritan Ave. site that has been cleared.

In Edgartown-Katama area the backsplash has been installed. Bathroom toilets, sinks and tub have been hooked up. The owner has been sending light fixtures for the electrician to put up. Once the electrical is complete they will start to get the final inspections.

The garage on East Chop currently has the flooring going down and the tile work in the bathroom.

Lots of progress happening despite COVID.  Hopefully things start to calm down and everyone can enjoy the holiday season.  Until next time!
